We have just received from France Damien Bouets´ book «Les Vikings» with Nina Killie Øydvin´s iconic photo of Saga Oseberg on its front page.
The book comes with the following greeting from its author: «To Einar Erlingsen and the crew of the Saga Oseberg. I am writing you these few words to thank you for the excellent work you do in sharing the knowledge of Viking shipbuilding, and more broadly for your contribution to the research on ancient Scandinavia.»
Damien Bouet is the author of several books on Vikings and Normans. He visited Tønsberg a couple of years ago, where he came sailing with us on the Saga Oseberg. His new book is almost a small Viking encyclopedia. It is published by the Heimdal publishing house in France.
