Life rafts are absolute necessities on board if Saga Oseberg and Saga Farmann are to be allowed to go out with passengers. Until last year, Saga Oseberg has operated in shallow waters on dispensation from this general rule, but this is no longer the case.
The investment in life rafts for both ships was quite a challenge for our Foundation, so imagine our joy when learning that our local Savings Bank Foundation (Sparebankstiftelsen Nøtterøy Tønsberg) had granted us NOK 140,000 (USD 16,500) for this very purpose. Without this support, our ships would have had to remain in port also during the 2021 sailing season. Thank you!
