There’s no questioning Sondre Knudsen’s (34) dedication to volunteer work. He drives 130 kilometers to work as a volunteer at our branch in Sandefjord. Sondre lives in Lørenskog and works full-time as a helicopter mechanic at Gardermoen. As a change of pace, he enjoys getting involved in more physical tasks—like splitting oak logs destined to become a Viking ship.
Given the long commute to Sandefjord, he skips the daily drive and has instead combined
volunteering with a tent-based holiday. Sondre is a true outdoorsman: when he’s not chopping
wood, you’ll find him climbing mountains or skydiving at Jarlsberg Airfield.
