We want to show our solidarity with our many Ukrainian friends by hoisting their flag on both of our work places, in Tonsberg and Sandefjord.
Oseberg Viking Heritage has for several years had close connections to a number of Ukrainian representatives, including the Oslo embassy, the Ukrainian association in Eastern Norway, and the boat builders in the city Ivano Frankivsk. The latter shall according to plan visit our Viking festival in August with one of their boats, while the historic ties between our two countries should be a main theme during the parallel seminary.
The horrible events in Ukraine make it unlikely that these planned events will take place. So to demonstrate that our Ukrainian friends are not forgotten we have decided to hoist their proud flag on both our two work-sites; in Tonsberg and Sandefjord.
